Let's pull together and make the MHMC festivities for the 4th of July HAPPEN!!!
Here's the scoop:
8 AM booth setup. We have tables, chairs, a canopy and other supplies to get put out and together at Central Park. I will have whomever leads this portion be in contact with Angel Lamb if there are any questions to be answered.
10 AM Stroller Parade!! The club walks in a group with decorated strollers, clothes, wagons and etc. We have a banner we also walk with. Typically candy is tossed out to the audience as well. We can add a contest for most decorated too with a gift card prize.
10:30AM - 3PM is booth time. Here members mingle with neighbors from people stopping by the booth to learn about the club. We typically sell treats and lemonade for charity of our choice.
Time slots: We'll need members at each slot. I'm letting them overlap so we can be sure to have transition time to discuss among members.
10:30a-12:30p booth time
12p-2p booth time
1p-3p booth time
Bakers! We need some of your yummy treats to sell! If at all possible, goodies which will not melt. I hand over our club cooler with bottled water and lemonade to sell. Someone will need to pick up ice the day of the event. I'll also hand over plates, napkins, table cloths, and cups.
Pie contest. If this is to happen, we need to announce it NOW! They are in groups by age judged by members of the community. A lot of dads from the club did it last year 😉 Each age group will have a prize to win. Kim, we could totally use your guidence on how you did it last year. Please post in the comments if you can. 3PM take down. Members will need to take down booth materials and hold onto them until they can be put back into my garage.
Unfortunately, I will be in Seattle during this event but am HAPPY to help get things squared away to make it a success!!!
